It is the Government legalization of the enterprise registration to both domestic and foreign person and legal entity in the business operations in Lao PDR. All enterprise must be registered in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Enterprise(revised version) No. 46/NA, dated 26 December 2013, unless the activities in some enterprise are not required to be registered in accordance with the laws and regulations. In this Enterprise Registration (Natural Persons and Legal Entities), there is not required any business activities demonstrate in the enterprise registration certificate. In addition, before operating business activities, all enterprise must submit enterprise registration certificate and original or copy of instruction to apply for investment or business operation with concerned sectors in accordance with the procedures in this decision, laws, and regulations.
Within ninety days from the date of the registration of the enterprise, an enterprise shall start applying for investment or business operation, unless concerned otherwise laws and regulations. Thus, within ninety days from the date of receiving the enterprise registration certificate with an investment license or business operation license, an enterprise shall start operating their business. Business activities are approved by the concerned sector without applying for investment or business operation, these business activities shall be outside controlled business list.
Therefore, the implementation of this decision is effective from February 01st, 2019 onward and shall be published on the Official Gazette before implementing.
