The imports and exports of Lao PDR in July 2021 values US$ 847 million, including US$ 374 million of export and approximately US$ 473 million of import, therefore, the Trade deficit was US$ 99 million.
The main export category
The total exports were approximately US$ 374 million. The main value exports included US$ 22 million of copper ore, US$ 16 million of banana, US$ 11 million of frame and parts of camera, US$ 56 million of mix gold (gold bars), US$ 22 million of clothes, US$ 6 million of raw coffee, US$ 4 million of sugar, US$ 16 million of rubber, US$ 4 million of fruits (water melon, passion fruits and tamarind) and US$ 4 million of cigarette.
The main import category
The total imports were approximately US$ 473 million. The main value imports included US$ 26 millions of vehicles (other than motorcycles, tractors), US$ 11 millions of electric parts and equipment, US$ 37 millions of diesel, US$ 30 millions of mechanical equipment (other than motor vehicles), US$ 18 millions of steel, steel products, magnetic steel, US$ 11 millions of auto parts (including tires, glass, chains ...), US$ 13 millions of gasoline and premium gasoline, US$ 12 millions of plastic products, US$ 8 millions of fertilizers and US$ 11 millions of food factories waste.

The main exporting countries of Lao PDR included China US$ 149 million, Vietnam US$ 71 million, Thailand US$ 54 million, Germany US$ 8 million and USA US$ 8 million.
The five main importing countries of the Lao PDR
The main importing countries of Laos included: Thailand US$ 253 million, China US$ 113 million, Vietnam US$ 59 million, Japan US$ 6 million and USA US$ 16 million.
The July 2021 statistic does not include the value of export electric power, therefore, we will update later when it is available.
