The main export category
The total export value was approximately USD 8.370 million, increased by 3.5% compared to 2022. The 10 main value exports included: USD 2,382 million in electricity, USD 703 million in gold bullion, USD 467 million in paper and paper products, USD 425 million in gold ore, USD 411 million in iron ore, USD 401 million in potassium salt, USD 333 million in cassava, USD 310 million in rubber, USD 284 million in pulp and paper waste and USD 265 million in sugar.
The main import category
The total import value was approximately USD 7,189 million, increased by 5% compared to 2022. The 10 main value imports included: USD 952 million in diesel, USD 606 million in mechanical equipment (except vehicle mechanics), USD 580 million in land vehicles (except motorcycles, and tractors), USD 451 million in iron and steel products, USD 428 million in gasoline, USD 344 million in vehicle spare parts (including tires, mirrors, chains...), USD 314 million in electrical and electronic equipment, USD 231 million in plastic items, USD 224 million in wood pulp and paper waste and USD 223 million in beverages (water, soft drinks, energy drinks...)
