This memorandum has outlined the requirements that the corn exporters of the Lao PDR. have to compile before exporting to the P.R. China which has to be in line with and compliant with food safety standards and quarantine conditions of the P.R. China, in order to prevent the risk from the pesticide coming to the P.R. China, which inclues:

  1. Carpophilus hemipterus;
  2. Cryptolestes ferrugineus;
  3. Cryptolestes pusilloides;
  4. Cercospora sorghi;
  5. Peronosclerospora sp (non-chinese species);
  6. Cenchrus echinatus;
  7. Chromolaena odorata.

 

Lao side need to inspect the company exporting corn to the P.R. China by requiring processing, warehousing, drying factory and must be registered company in the Lao PDR. Lao side also need to submit the list of such companies to the China side.

This memorandum is signed in Beijing on January 10, 2012 in two languages: Lao and Chinese and valid for 2 years, effective from the signature date.
