For the first quarter of 2018, the value of Laos’ import-export (Excluding import and export of electricity due to incomplete information from the concerned sectors) achieved 2,353 million USD or increased 12.8% compared to last year.
Exports were US $ 989 million, increased 1.4% compared to last year. Main export products are gold and gold minerals, cameras, manioc, clothing, electrical appliances, coffee, bananas, sugar. Main export countries are Thailand, China, Vietnam, Japan, Germany, and India. Imports achieved 1,363 million USD, increased 22.8% compared to last year.
Main import products are Fuel (gasoline, diesel and jet fuel), vehicles and spare parts, mechanical equipment, steel products and electrical appliances. Main import countries are Thailand, China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong.
