In June 2018, the import-export value of the Lao PDR reached US$ 796.7 million, a decrease of 17.8% compared to last month. The details are as follow:
Exports were US$ 400.7 million, decreased by 10.8% compared to last month. Main export products are value of copper and copper minerals US$ 93 million, value of electricity US$ 89.8 million, value of electrical appliances US$ 21.1 million, value of gold compound US$ 19.1 million, value of parts of cameras US$ 17.7 million, and value of clothes US$15.6 million. Main export countries are Thailand as US$ 179 million, China as US$ 105.1 million, Vietnam as US$ 59 million, Germany as US$ 4.9 million, and India as US$ 19 million.

Imports achieved  US$ 396 million, decreased by 23.9% compared to last month. Main import products are value of Fuel (gasoline, diesel and jet fuel) US$ 61.4 million, value of vehicles and spare parts US$ 45.8 million, value of electrical appliances US$ 26 million, value of mechanical equipment US$ 27.8 million, value of steel and steel products US$ 17.6 million. Main import countries are Thailand as US$ 256 million, China as US$ 57 million, Vietnam as 49 million, Japan as US$ 6.3 million, Korea as US$ 3 million, Belgium as US$ 3 million and Hong Kong as US$ 2.2 million.
