The value of import-export of Lao PDR in December 2018 achieved approximately US$ 875 million (Excluding import and export of electricity). In that, the import value was approximately US$ 479 million and export value was approximately US$ 396 million.

Main export products are copper minerals, copper and articles of copper, banana, spare parts of video recorder, beverage, amalgam gold and gold bars, cassava, clothing, etc.

Main import products are vehicles, electrical appliances, fuel (diesel), mechanical equipment, steel and steel products, beverage, spare parts of the vehicle, fuel (regular and super), steel bars and transformed steel, etc.

Main export countries are Thailand, China, Vietnam, India, Japan, Germany, The United Arab Emirates, Cambodia, etc.

Main import countries are Thailand, China, Vietnam, Japan, Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Germany, USA, etc.
