The total exports were approximately US$ 337 million. The value exports included US$ 45 million copper ore, US$ 24 million copper products, US$ 17 million banana, US$ 20 million wood pulp and paper scraps, US$ 9 million frame and camera parts, US$ 16 million beverages (water, carbonated water, energy drinks ...), US$ 28 million mix gold, gold bars, US$ 18 million clothes, US$ 11 million electric devices and equipment and US$ 9 million coffee.
The main import category
The total imports were approximately US$ 419 million. The value imports included US$ 24 million of vehicles (other than motorcycles, tractors), US$ 13 million electric devices and equipment, US$ 26 million diesel, US$ 47 million mechanical equipment (other than motor vehicles), US$ 31 million iron, steel products, magnetic steel, US$ 26 million beverages (water, carbonated water, and energy drinks...), US$ 9 million auto parts (including tires, glass, chains ...), US$ 10 million line steel and various types of steel, US$ 15 million plastic products and US$ 10 million fertilizers..
The five main exporting countries of Lao PDR
The main exporting countries of Lao PDR included China US$ 107 million, Vietnam US$ 103 million, Thailand US$ 65 million, India US$ 13 million and Japan US$ 7 million.
The five main importing countries of the Lao PDR
The main importing countries of Laos included: Thailand US$ 242 million, China US$ 92 million, Vietnam US$ 50 million, Japan US$ 9 million and United State US$ 4 million.
The June 2020 statistic does not include the value of export electric power, therefore, we will update later when it is available.
