Ministry of Industry and Commerce has issued the Decision on Handicraft Promotion Center No 1227/MOIC.DIH, 31 December 2020 to promote the handcraft products a better quality, increase the value of handicrafts, protect the benefit of entrepreneurs, upgrading vocational training for craftsmen, and creating jobs for the locals of all ethnic groups. Furthermore, the Decision can promote occupation succession and allowed the craft traditional sustainable contribution to development - economic and social.
Those who intend to set up a handicraft extension center should submit an application to the Industry and Commerce of Province and Capital where the handicraft extension center will be set up in order to identify location conditions. After the Industry and Commerce of Province and Capital has received the letter of submission, the applicant must consult with the relevant authorities to inspect the actual location and make a record of the inspection and issue a notice to respond to the applicant within ten working days from the date of receipt of the letter. The application must include the following documents: 1. submission of a letter in the form prescribed by the Department of Industry and Handicrafts, and 2. documents certifying the land use rights to establish a handicraft extension center, such as land titles, leases or concession agreements.
After receiving the notification of approval from the Industry and Commerce of Province and Capital will ask the applicant to submit relevant documents for permission as follows:
1. A letter in the form prescribed by the Department of Industry and Handicrafts
2. Copy of enterprise registration
3. Economic-Technical Analysis
4. a confirmed letter for the location of the Industry and Commerce of Province and Capital together with the documents which is confirmed to have the right to use the land for the center location as such land titles, lease agreements or concession agreements.
