- The mayor of Lakhon Pheng district.
Subject: Notification on the opening of Paktaphan local checkpoint, Lakhonepheng district, Saravane province.
- Pursuant to the Official Letter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office, No. 452/MOFA.Office4, dated 14 February 2022.
- According to the agreement within the consultation meeting to open the Paktaphan local checkpoint in Lakhone Pheng district, on March 17, 2022.
The Chairman of the Provincial Border Commission issued the following notice:
1. A purpose to reopen Paktaphan local checkpoint, Lakhonepheng district, Saravane Province, for export and import of goods by the regulations for Paktaphan and Pakxeng local checkpoints that can import and export goods.
2. The Lakhonepheng District Administration and the relevant divisions at the provincial level shall report their readiness to open the checkpoint in writing to the Provincial Administration. The readiness will be able to open the checkpoint under their responsibility for export-import services, as well as report the situation to the Provincial Administration when there is a risk or incidents have occurred.
3. The Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police Command, and Lakhonepheng District shall be in charge of monitoring to protect and maintain peace along the border and the Mekong River.
4. The relevant divisions and parties in export-import across Saravan province
