Notification

To: All divisions of the Customs Department, Regional Customs Offices and Customs Border Checkpoints throughout the entire country.

Subject: Customs valuation reduction schedule of goods based on reference price and price structure for Years 2011 – 2013 (Calendar Year)

Pursuant to the notification on the Customs Valuation determination for general importing of goods of Customs Department No. 2040, dated 15 July 2011.

In order to facilitate importing companies and to prepare for the implementation of the actual transaction price valuation method of WTO, the Customs Department has set a customs valuation reduction schedule for goods that use minimum price (29 commodities for Year 2011, 19 commodities for Year 2012, 1 commodity for Year 2013) as following:

The customs valuation reduction schedule for vehicles for Year 2012 will be specifically reset based on the approval from the Minister of Finance.
The price of luxury goods will be set based on decree No. 03/OP, dated 18 October 2009 and notification of the Secretariat of Lao Government No. 151/OG, dated 24 January 2011.
The price of gasoline is set base on the price structure approved and adopted by the Government of Lao PDR in each period.

Thus, the Customs Department has determined the reduction schedule of goods listed in Customs Valuation (minimum price) above and circulated to related agencies for awareness and implementing accordingly.
