The Department of Import and Export, Ministry of Industry and Commerce on behalf of the office of the Trade Facilitation Secretariat (TFS) will organize a Consultation Meeting on Rice Exporting in Savannakhet Province will be held on 4 July 2013, at the Daosavanh Resort and Spa, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. The meeting will be hosted under the honorable chairmanship of Mrs. Khemmany Polsena, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Industry of Commerce, who is also the Head of the National Trade Facilitation Secretariat. Members of the National Trade Facilitation Secretariat and other related sectors regularly involved in trade facilitation and also some of private sector (Import-Export Company Group) have been invited to participate at the meeting. The objectives of the meeting are to listens the obstacle on rice exporting in Savannakhet Province, and together develop the facility condition for rice exporting in Savannakhet and in order to create a capability and effectively for the coordination mechanism between the Trade Facilitation Secretariat (TFS) and the Private Sector operating group.
