Subject: The implementation of tariff reduction schedule (TRS) for the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement  (ATIGA) 2013-2015

  • Pursuant to the Presidential Instrument of Ratification of Lao PDR, dated on July 29, 2013
  • Pursuant to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the Agreement to Ratify the Tariff Reduction Schedule for the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) 2013-2015, No: 018/SC.NA, dated on March 04, 2013
  • Pursuant to the Endorsement of Lao PDR tariff reduction schedule (2013-2015) at the 26th AFTA Council Meeting, dated on August 27, 2012

​In order to implement the Presidential Instrument of Ratification, the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Endorsement of the Lao PDR Tariff Reduction Schedule (2013-2015) effectively and successfully, the Minister of Finance of Lao PDR issues the official notification as follows:

  1. Given to the Customs Department to disseminate and publish the tariff reduction schedule (2013-2015). This tariff reduction schedule based on the ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature 2012 version (AHTN 2012) which consists of 21 parts, 97 chapters and 9.558 tariff lines;
  2. Given to the Customs Department to implement this tariff reduction schedule (2013-2015) from February 3, 2014;
  3. Given to the Customs Department to issue additional guideline on the application of tariff reduction schedule including disseminate and publicize to all relevant government agencies, private sector who deal with the import and export of goods to deeply understand and implement this tariff reduction schedule effectively; and
  4. All relevant agencies and private sectors shall strictly implement this notification.

Therefore, the Minister of Finance issues this notification for implementation.
