The Prime Minister’s Office issued the Notification on the Management and the Export of Forestry Products and Wooden Charcoal For Export No. 1355/PSPM.SO, dated 9 September 2016 which stipulates eligible and prohibited forestry products and wooden charcoal for export as follows:

(1)   All types of forestry products which are being served as food, those are seasonally found and are supplied as daily consumption of citizens shall allowed for exploration and export. The eligible forestry products for export are products those are capable to produce domestic and the export shall come with plan, being approved for exploration and export. Forestry products those are capable to produce domestic are encouraged to produce in domestic and are prohibited for export.

(2)   White charcoal sourced from Cratoxylum Formosum is allowed to produce and export under the approval of the government which enterprises, manufacturers or exporters are required to get approval for establishment, legally registered according to regulations, and shall have plan to support the plantation and restoration. All types of black charcoal is prohibited for export.

(3)   For planted wood, agarwood, eucalyptus, and Acacia Auriculiformis sourced from planted garden which were torn into small pieces or crumble, plate, and round not exceeding 12 cm width are allowed for export. Planted traditional wood like Burmese Padauk, Canninghamia sinensis, Aquilaria Sp, including Teak Wood and others shall be produced as wooden products prior to the export; and

(4)   Bamboo, semi processed bamboo, finished processed bamboo is permitted for export.
