Ministry of Industry and Commerce issued the Decision on the Approval of List of Eligible and Prohibited Wooden Products for Export No. 1833/MoIC, dated 3 October 2016 that specifies list of eligible and prohibited wooden product for export that defines definitions, sizes, and photos in comprehensive Decision in order to facilitate implementation for the government authorities.
The Decision stipulates that eligible wooden products for export consist of 12 categories: (1) wooden briquettes, pelles; (2) wooden charcoal; (3) wooden parquet, interior flooring; (4) plywood; (5) wooden handle products; (6) bullders’ joinery and carpentry of wood; (7) other article of wood; (8) wooden furniture; (9) bamboo and rattan products; (10) spilt poles; piles, pickets, stake of wood and sawn wood; (11) wood wool, wood flour; and (12) chip wood.
The prohibited wooden products for export also consist of 12 categories: (1) column; (2) column and laminated beams; (3) large tables, chairs make from a piece of timber; (4) cutting boards have a large size; (5) planted woods have a large size; (6) other black charcoals; (7) S2S, S4S E4E Decking; (8) mounded timber products; (9) truck body joinery; (10) coffin; (11) balustrades; (12) stair rail, laminated stair rail.
In addition, Department of Industry and Handicraft, Ministry of Industry and Commerce had also issue the Instruction on the List of Eligible and Prohibited Wooden Products for Export No.1009/DoIH.PSD, dated 18 October 2016 to extend above decision. The Instruction further clarifies definition, category, type, and source of eligible and prohibited wooden products for export.
