The objective of this meeting is to review the implementation of plans of Lao PDR Trade Portal in the past 06 months (January – July 2018) as well as to to discuss on the implementation in six-month plan. Mr. Bounmy Manivong stated that LTP is like a mobile library that contains an abundance of trade information that you can access at any time to download the information you need wherever you are in the country or foreign country. We all need to be ready to develop quantity and quality of information as well as to maintain the sustainability of the LTP.

As for the coordination between LTP management and LTP focal points in the past 06 months, LTP management has received a great support from focal points particularly the support of legal documents and responding to inquiries via email. Moreover, some focal point may be in the mission or changing their position without notice, it makes challenging for them to support information timely.

At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed to keep on regular coordination and the implementation in six-month plan from July to December 2018. LTP management will focus to improve data on (1) capacity building; (2) dissemination workshop; (3) amendment of technical and content; (4) information coordination.
