Pursuant to Notification No.2479/MoF, dated 30 July 2018 Vice Minister, Minister of Finance notified that the exempt of relief item import can be requested at Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare for central level and Provincial Administration Offices for local level. The concerned sectors shall coordinate and inform the list of items with authorities at the border checkpoint where the items are imported.

The customs administration shall implement at the border checkpoint as follows:

- Complementary documents required for customs exempted import. In case, there is the absence of a certified document from the concerned sectors, items are approved for import, and then bring the certified document from the concerned sectors to the customs border checkpoint within 15 official days from the date of items are removed from the customs border checkpoint.

- Coordinate with the concerned sectors at border checkpoints for facilitating import procedures by using modern tools (if any) to ensure safety and avoid illegal import.

Measures set out in this notification aims to address the import of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief items for those affected by flash flood. This notification is effective with timeframe 60 days of its date of signature.
