In the past, there were many steps which required entrepreneurs to obtain a certificate of import vehicle parts with the Department of Industry and Handicrafts (DIH), the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Therefore, the Department of Industry and Handicrafts, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has issued a new order to terminate a step that needs to obtain a certificate of import vehicle parts, No. 1848 /DIH.MOIC on 26 December 2019. The Department of Industry and Handicrafts is assigned to the following detail as below:

1. The Department of Industry and Handicrafts has to terminate the issuance of certificates for importing vehicle parts to manufacture and assemble factories in the country.

2. However, the Entrepreneurs who have factories to produce and assemble vehicle parts must prepare their annual plans by following table A as practice in the past. The annual plans must submit to the DIH before the 10th of December each year either have to be approved before import the parts. Further information of this requirement that based on this decision: The Decision on Management of Factories No. 0264 / MOIC.DIH dated 15 March 2019.

3. The Department of Industry and Handicrafts has to coordinate with the Department of Transport, Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Customs Department, Ministry of Finance in order to implement and understand in the same directions and practice.
