The value of exports is approximately USD$ 216 million, the main exports were: USD$ 115 million of copper ore, USD$ 10 million of gold ore, USD $ 52 million of copper plate, USD$ 39 million of iron ore and USD $ 5,000 of household appliances. In addition the total export quantity was approximately 480,000 tons.
Value and products imported into Lao PDR
The value of imports is approximately US$ 98 million, the main imports were wood pulp and scrap paper for new products worth approximately US$ 96 million and aluminum ore was USD$ 2 million. In addition, the total import quantity was about 390,000 tons.
Countries that Laos exported
Countries that Lao PDR exported through the Vietnamese border were China worth USD$ 101 million, India worth USD$ 115 million and Hungary worth USD$ 5,000.
Countries that Laos imported
Countries that Lao PDR imported through the Vietnam borders were USA worth USD$ 78 million, Canada worth US$ 12 million and South Korea worth USD$ 3 million.
