To: Head of Provincial and Capital Division of Health, companies, stores, and individuals.
Subject: prohibition on consumption and distribution of seaweed snacks for original and spicy flavor (Panda Brand),
- Pursuant to the Food Law, No. 33 / NA, dated 24 July 2013.
- Pursuant to the Notification of the Food and Drugs Administration Office of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated 19 April 2022.
The Department of Food and Drug, Ministry of Health is pleased to inform you that a brand of seaweed snacks was found to be contaminated with Bacillus cereus which can cause diarrhea, food poisoning and health hazards were over standards. The details of seaweed as details as follow: the seaweed snacks with the flavor of originals (Panda brand), number of F.D 10-1-04153-1-0054 Date of manufacturing 29/11/2021, expiry date 29/11/2022, and the flavor of spicy (Panda brand), number of F.D 10-1-04153-1-0055 Date of manufacturing 18/11/2021, expiry date 18/11/2022.
The Department of Food and Drugs would like to inform you that it is prohibited to consume, sell and import such products mentioned above. Therefore, the Food and Drug will seize, destroy, and acts in accordance with the regulations prescribed by law.
Therefore, we would like to inform you to cooperate and implement as appropriate.
