Notification

 

      To: - Special Economic Zone Promotion and Management Office, Ministry of Planning and Investment.

            - Provincial and Vientiane Capital Division of Industry and Commerce.

            - Vientiane-Non Thong Industrial and Commercial Management Office.

            - Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

            - Enterprises that import and export goods across the country

       Subject: Registration for goods importers and exporters.

  • According to the decision on the organization and operation of the Permanent Secretary Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, No. 0634/MOIC.DOP, dated 01 July 2020;
  • According to the Decision on register goods importers and exporters, No. 0752/MOIC, dated 23 May 2023.

Following the law and restricting trade outside the system, monitoring and following information of payment and receiving foreign currency from the goods import-export enterprise across the country. The Permanent Secretary's Office issued the following notice:

  1. The Provincial and Vientiane Capital Division of Industry and Commerce to coordinate with the Energy and Mines, the Agriculture and Forestry Division, the Management Office of the Special Economic Zone, the Provincial, Vientiane Capital Chamber of Commerce and Industry to inform the enterprises that import and export of goods in registering with the Department of Import and Export, Ministry of Industry and Commerce as stipulated in the Decision on the registration of importers and exporters of goods, No.0752/MOIC, date 23 May 2023, especially the following product categories:                                                                                                   

     

Enterprises that related to import and export of the products listed in the above table must complete registration before 31 October 2023. For other activities that are not included in the above list of products, they can be registered as well until changes are made.

    2. The enterprise shall submit the registration documents according to the printed form attached herewith (as well as send the soft copy) to the Department of Import and Export directly or via email: [email protected] or telephone number: 020 9699 6565 or 02055510038 or 02056287584 or 02095914789. After submitting the document, the company will contact the Department of Import and Export to coordinate the registration certificate

    3. Any enterprise that includes incomplete documents or information will not be registered and will not be able to import and export goods until the registration is completed.

    4. Enterprises that have successfully registered must inform the Bank of Lao PDR about the numbers of all deposit accounts that have been opened with commercial banks, and need to request a certificate to notify the commercial bank to convert the deposit accounts to the specific import-export deposit accounts.
