In November 2023, Laos' import and export figures were 1.085 million USD.

The import and export value of Laos reached $1.085 million in November 2023. Main exported products include gold, rubber, paper products, gold ore, and clothing. Mian imported products include fuel, machinery, land vehicles, steel, and electrical products.

 

The main export category

Total export value was approximately US$389 million. The main value export included USD 47.1 million in mixed gold and gold bars, USD 44.8 million in rubber, USD 37.4 million in paper products, USD 31.2 million in copper ore, USD 20.3 million in clothing, 16.6 million USD in beverage (water, soft drinks, energy drinks...), USD 14.4 million in banana, USD 14.1 million in wood pulp and paper scraps, USD 13.8 million in sugar and USD 12 million in cassava. 

The main import category

Total import value was approximately US$ 696 million. The main value import included USD 83.6 million in fuel, USD 77.3 million in mechanical equipment, USD 54.5 million in land vehicles, USD 39.7 million in steel and steel products, USD 34.6 million in electrical appliances, USD 24.9 million in auto spare parts, USD 22.2 million in pulp and paper scrap, USD 21.8 million in gasoline, USD 20.9 million in plastic products and USD 14 million in beverages.

The five main exporting countries of Lao PDR

In November 2023, China (US$ 168.3 million), Vietnam (US$ 86.4 million), Thailand (US$  43.8 million), Australia (US$  28 million), and Switzerland (US$  10 million) were the top exporters of Laos

The five main importing countries of the Lao PDR

While, Thailand (US$ 277.3 million), China (US$ 280 million), Vietnam (US$ 26.5 million), the United States (US$ 22 million), and Australia (US$ 12 million) were Laos' top importers.
