Customs Department notified  Department of transport, Ministry of public work and transport and Department of Import and Export, Ministry of Industry and Commerce No. 00699/Doc, dated 19 October 2012 that they are able to issue the import permit for vehicle, petrol and goods under government control with an approved annual import plan without obtains authorized letter from the customs department. That aims is to facilitate trade by reducing unnecessary procedures and documents. The Customs Department stopped issuing such authorized letter starting from 1st November 2012 onward.  The consideration of the import permit should be based on  related regulations with a reference of (1) As for Government level: The consideration should be based the Government’s notification and (2) As for investment at the central level: The consideration should be based on the agreement to approve an annual import plan issued by Finance Minister and the transferring letter of such agreement issued by the Customs Department.
