After receiving information from news source in country and abroad on the recall of dairy products suspected to be contaminated with the bacteria Clostridium Botulinum (type: Infantile Botulism) distributed by the company, and also following investigation on the distribution of the product, the Department of Food and Drugs, Ministry of Health has issued a notification to ban the import, distribution and consumption of Dumex instant milk power products suspected to be contaminated with the bacteria and urged the import company of instant powder milk products to request authorization from the Food and Drugs Department and report if they find any products suspected to be contaminated with bacteria to Department of Food and Drugs together with a call to government agencies to strengthen cooperation and coordination on close investigation of the import and distribution of instant milk and other food products which that are at risk according to their role and functions, and give advice on the determination through notification to consumers. Should any suspect matter be found, it should be notified on the date of finding to the Department of Food and Drugs, Ministry of Health.
