The Department of Promotion and Product Development, jointly with the ASEAN-Japan Center, organized for the first time a workshop to disseminate and present the guidelines on trading with ASEAN.  The content of those guidelines comprises regulations, instructions and procedures for exporting to Japan according to an accurate classification of the types of goods and also summarizes more than 100 questions concerning exports to Japan together with transparent and accurate answers which also include contact names and details of the concerned sectors related to Japanese imports such as: Customs service information, quarantine point, enquiry point to submit import applications, etc. All of this is aimed at entrepreneurs in the private sectors who are interested in trading by exporting to Japan so that they can find out information and answers by themselves according to the guidelines.

Furthermore, at the workshop, participants also listened to a presentation by trainers from Japan on the regulations that relate to export to Japan and compliance with defined targets and regulations in order to create added value in international trade.
