To: Director of Provincial and Vientiane Capital Department of the Industry and Commerce
Subject: Authorization of the Province and Capital City to be in charge of studying and deciding on the approval of exporting of wood from plantations (Teak, Para Rubber, Eaglewood, Eucalyptus and Acacias)
- Based on the Prime Ministerial Order No. 17/PM Dated 22/09/2008.
- Based on the Prime Ministerial Decision No. 41/PM Dated 26/03/2014.
- Based on the Notification No. 1791/PSO.DIMEX Dated 15/09/2011.
The Permanent Secretary Office of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is honored to notify that in order to facilitate business operation for entrepreneurs, by reducing unnecessary steps needed to export plantation wood and to implement Prime Minister Decision No. 41/PM Dated 26/03/2014, related to the authorization of the Province and Vientiane Capital to be in charge of studying and deciding on the approval for exporting wood from plantations such as Teak, Para Rubber, Eaglewood, Eucalyptus and Acacia (the said Decision is also attached herewith),
Therefore, the Permanent Secretary Office of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has issued this Additional Notification to further include Teak Wood, Para Rubber Wood and Eaglewood in point 1.2 of the earlier Notification No. 1791/PSO.DIMEX Dated 15/09/2011. Apart from the above mentioned types of wood, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (the Department of Import and Export) will still be in charge of the administration of the said export as usual.
Therefore, this is to notify and inform so as to implement accordingly.
