At the meeting, both sides has reported on the socio-economic development of each other with appreciation and highly value the diplomatic relationship of Lao PDR and PR of China especially the cooperation on trade and investment which is growing particularly in north part of Laos and Yunan province. It is show that Laos-China trading value is continuously increase.
In 2014 Laos-China trade value reached about 3.61 billion USD, increasing 31.87 % compare to 2013; this involves Lao products exportation to China 73.56% and importation 1.84 USD, increasing 7.13% compare to 2013.
The exportation from Laos to China is number 1, involving 46.1% of all products to overseas. Laos has also express thanks to China on the support from the past especially the support on products exhibition and technical trainings. In addition, both sides has also interchange views widely and consult on relevant issues for cooperation in various fields in the future.
