The purpose of this meeting is to review measures that central level had commented at the meeting in 2013 for the conformity and integrity with implementation provinces in nationwide prior to the final conclusion in Vientiane Capital and propose to the government for official approval. This meeting is a part of reviewing the need assessment and priority on trade facilitation at local level, which carrying on the meeting for relevant central and southern provinces that was organize on 27-29 April 2015.
The result of this meeting points out the importance of communication mechanism and acknowledgement of officers at checkpoints to implement trade facilitation effectively. At present, the coordination between relevant sectors at the international checkpoint isn’t undergone in systematic way; and most officers are lack of knowledge on trade facilitation especially risk management system and import-export electronically declaration.
