The objective of this training is to extensively disseminate trade regulations through information technology in order to promote transparency for operating business in Lao PDR. It is endeavoring to facilitate trade for private sector in simplifying and convenient accession to regulations and trade information.
Besides presenter’s presentations, the audiences also had exercise on how to use the website and had interchanged information with the presenters straightforwardly with energetic atmosphere which brought them intense comprehension.
Since the Lao PDR Trade Portal was officially launched in the end of June 2012, it has organized 6 similar trainings to both government and private sectors in Vientiane Capital and provinces throughout the country. The principal of these trainings is to build recognition and improve understanding on how to use Lao PDR Trade Portal for their pragmatic work on administrating import-export and in operating business effectively.
Lao PDR Trade Portal serves as a first step for the implementation of National Single Window through the development of electronic permitting system or services permitting import-export, and facilitation of online communication system. This in turn, fulfills the commitments of Lao PDR in the implementation of regional and international agreements.
