In order to extend the Notification on the Procedure to Certify Wooden Products (Before Loading to Container) for Export No. 1818/PMO.DE, dated 18 November 2016, Ministry of Industry and Commerce issued an Instruction on the Procedure to Certify Wooden Products (Before Loading to Container) for Export No. 2143/MOIC.DIMEX dated 25 November 2016 which stipulate procedure and role for sectors to certify wooden products before loading to container for export.
The Committee of Inspection and Certification consists of two or three sectors, depending on wooden product type. It includes Industry and Commerce as the main sector, Agricultural and Forestry, and State Property Management Office. The committee shall inspect to certify wooden products according to List of Eligible and Prohibited Wooden Products for Export No. 1833/MoIC, dated 3 October 2016 and consider to approve the certificate based on company or factory’s proposal. After that, the Provincial/Vientiane Capital Department of Industry and Commerce shall approve the certificate of wooden product (before loading to container) for export that was inspected by the committee. The Certificate shall be the only document to declare to customs for the export of wooden products.
This Instruction is to replace the Instruction No. 1153/MOIC.DIMEX.
