In order to ensure conformity and to reduce time and document procedures, Ministry of Industry and Commerce issues a Notification on the usage of revised application for import and export license No. 0472/MoIC.DIMEX, dated 10 March 2016 to Department of Industry and Commerce in provinces and Vientiane capital to use the revised application for import and export license nationwide.

During the transition period prior to the use of Electronic-License, the licensing application can be interchangeable utilized either: (1) Old system (purchasing the application from Industry and Commerce Sector) or (2) New system (download the application via Lao PDR Trade Portal website). When the application is fully filled it will be submitted for approval and the application fee will be settled to Industry and Commerce Sector).

The revised application for import and export license are valid from 1 April 2016.
