PROCESS STEPS

Step 1: Prepare Applications along with all required documents.  

Step 2: Submit the application to the Department of Livestock and Fisheries

Step 3: Submit additional required documents on the day of importing goods: 

• Animal Health Certificate from the Livestock and Veterinary Authority of the origin country
• Copy of bill of Lading/Airway Bill (In case of port or airport)
• Copy of animal heredity certificate (In case of animal used for breeding)
• Copy of the Animal vaccination certificate (In the case of Lao PDR requires).

Step 4: The importer shall follow the import conditions of animals and animal products as stipulated in Appendix 2 of this decision.

Step 5: The Department of Livestock and Fisheries assesses the risk as stipulated in Appendix 2 of this decision.

Step 6: The Department of Livestock and Fisheries approves and issues the import permit of animals and animal products within 05 working days (If documents are completed). Click here to see the draft of the import permit

Step 7: Once approved, collect the Import License from the Department of Livestock and Fisheries.
